Charming, ecological, wonderful and, above all, unique. Yes, because unique is the opportunity that Liguria offers with the Alta Via Stage Race: cycle along an incredible trail, between sea, sky and mountains. Starting next June, 16th and till June, 24th Alta Via Stage Race is an international mountain bike competition organized in several stages: most of the trail will be along the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (High Way of the Ligurian Mountains) from the village of Ceparana (east side) to Dolceacqua (west side). The goal is to promote the Ligurian inland and its great touristic resources, mainly for the outdoor tourism.

Exciting and perfectly organized, thanks to the contribution of Liguria Region, the race is also an occasion to know one of the most suggestive trail, the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, a trail along the ridges starting from the Alps and finishing in the Appennines Mt., always with panoramic views of the Ligurian Sea.
9 days, 500 km and 11.000 mt. difference in level/height, through a spectacular landscape made of mountains overlooking the sea, offering always different and charming territories.

The different stages has been individuated by the organizing committe in the villages of: Bolano, Sesta Godano, Rezzoaglio, Casella, Sassello, Bardineto, Pigna and Dolceacqua. In the website www.altaviastagerace.com are available other info about the event.

The villages along the trail will participate to the event offering refreshing points during the stages or arranging Expo&Entertainment areas to accommodate each night cyclists and their companions.

The Association “Ospitalità Alta Via dei Monti Liguri”, organizer and promoter of the event, collects different touristic operators located in the territory of the Alta Via dei Monti and its primary goal is to promote and encourage the development and the promotion of the Ligurian territory and tourism.
